The combination of flavors are very refined and elevated a once simple omelette into a five-star, fine dine quality breakfast!

Omelette Wrap with Smoked Salmon and Mustard Cream Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp grainy mustard
  • Smoked salmon
  • Fresh spinach
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs, milk, chives, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook egg mixture on medium heat for 2 minutes on one side and one minute on the next.
  3. Combine Dijon mustard with cream cheese, and spread it evenly on your omelette.
  4. Layer the smoked salmon and baby spinach.
  5. Gently roll the omellete into a tight wrap.
  6. Cut in half and serve.

Notes:

To make it gluten-free: Use gluten-free flour – such as sorghum flour, almond flour, rice flour, oat flour, chickpea, etc... Or omit it all-together. Keep it mind that the flour added to the eggs gives the eggs a more fluffy and bread-like texture.


To make it dairy-free: Use dairy-free milk such as almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk, rice milk, or if you want to remove the lactose, you can use lactose-free milk.

Use a soy or nut-based cream cheese, or a soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free version.

Or omit it completely. You can combine Dijon mustard with a teaspoon of horseradish.
