Lavender Tea Lemonade

Did you know that the first written evidence of lemonade was in Egypt?

More than 1,500 years ago in the Egyptian Mediterranean coast!

This lavender tea lemonade is not only refreshing, but it’s gorgeous too! 

It’s an upgraded version of your usual lemonade or your usual iced tea. The floral notes compliment the citrus notes and creates an absolutely delicious and unique flavor that satisfies your taste buds!

Ingredients

Lemonade
  • 2 tbsp - 1 tbsp (15 g) culinary lavender
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • Sweetener of your choice (or ½ cup sugar)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) squeezed lemon
  • 3 cups (700 ml) water
  • Optional: 1 tbsp (15 g) lavender syrup
For Garnish:
  • Lemon slices
  • Lavender flowers

Instructions

Infusing Lavender + Preparing Lemonade
  1. Add 1 cup (250 ml) water to a pot along with sugar (or your choice of sweetener) and bring it to a boil.
  2. Take it off the heat, add the lavender into the hot water and leave it to steep for 10 minutes – The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor.
  3. In the meantime, juice lemons.
  4. Strain the lavender tea through a sieve.
  5. Add juice of lemon to 3 cups (700 ml) water.
Assemble drink:
  1. Add ice lavender tea, and the lemonade and mix well.
  2. Garnish with lemon slices and lavender flowers.
